Lindsay Trumpeter on Big Broadcast The news of St. John, Nfd.—There was presented over CHNS on Thursday, June 1st, a special broadcast from Newfoundland on the regular Army Show “On Parade.” The program consisted of service and local talent of Newfoundland and was made possible for rebroadcast through the cooperation of radio station VONF, St. John’s, Newfoundland.
The show was written, produced and under the direction of Capt. Fred R. Davies, Public Relation Officer for the Canadian troops in Newfoundland.
It was a concert of considerable merit. Among the artists was LAC Bill Forman, trumpet player of Lindsay.

L.A.C. William Forman enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on 12 February 1943. He trained at Mountain View, and went to Newfoundland in June 1943.
