Mr. Flack, an Honour Graduate of The College of Optometry of Canada in 1934 has practiced Optometry in Toronto and Lindsay. Answering the call to arms in 1942, Mr. Flack was the first Optometrist to be enlisted in his professional capacity in the R.C.A.F. and served in the R.C.A.F. hospitals at Brandon and Toronto. In 1944 he was posted to No. 2 Air Command Headquarters in Winnipeg and worked at No. 2 Regional Medical Board, Deer Lodge Military Hospital as Optometrist and Assistant to the Command Consultant in Ophthalmology. In addition to his Optometrical duties there, he did many of the pre and post-operative workups on all types of Ocular Surgery and A.I.D. Inspector’s Work on Airforce Spectacles prescribed in that vicinity.
Mr. Flack has just received his discharge and will be glad to renew his acquaintance with his friends and former patients as well as the former patients of McCarty’s.
