Glenarm Soldier Home from Kiska

Pte. Ted Ferguson brings back pockets full of Jap. Souvenirs

Pte. Ted Ferguson, of Glenarm, home on leave following service on Kiska since the capture of that important island, has brought back pockets full of Jap souvenirs. The young Commando, who was among the first to land on the Aleutians, is reluctant to state how he procured the curios among which are several rating badges for Japanese officers in the marine service.

Pte. Ferguson, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ferguson, enlisted at Peterboro. He received special Commando training at Nanaimo, B.C., following which he left on a warship with Canadian and American troops under secret orders.
