Woman offers reward for return of lost ring By David Lea OAKVILLE BEAVER STAFF An Oakville woman is asking for the public's help in locating her engagement ring, which was lost at a splash pad area near Captain R. Wilson Public School, 2145 Grand Oak Trail, earlier this month. Navjot Chhinzer said she took her children to the splash pad on Wednesday, July 4, and took off her three rings to put sunscreen on her son. Chhinzer said she must have dropped the rings without realizing it near a bench just outside the splash pad. The following day Chhinzer realized the rings were missing and returned to the splash pad where she was able to find her promise ring and her wedding band, but not her engagement ring. Chhinzer has reported the missing ring to police and put signs up throughout the area 19 · Friday, July 13, 2012 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com SUBMITTED PHOTO MISSING: Oakville resident Navjot Chhinzer hopes someone will return her missing ring. pleading with anyone who finds the ring to turn it in. She said one person did call her home and informed her the caller's daughter had overheard three teenaged girls talking about how they had found a ring in that area. The caller's daughter did not see the missing ring signs until later and was unable to provide any information about who the girls were aside from vague descriptions of what they looked liked. "I just want people to know this ring means a lot to me," said Chhinzer. "The sentimental value is really what matters. I don't know the size of the diamond, I don't care about that. It's more the fact that it's my engagement band. It just means so much." Anyone who finds the ring can contact Chhinzer at 416-575-6171 or Halton police. Chhinzer is offering a cash reward for the ring's return. ON JULY 4TH A WEDDING RING WAS LOST AT THE WEST OAK TRAILS SPLASH PAD! GREAT SENTIMENTAL VALUE! MAY GOD BLESS PEOPLE FOR THEIR HONESTY.
