In order to advance past the East Conference's top seed in the second round of the Ontario Lacrosse Association junior B playoffs, Oakville will need to win two of three games this weekend on the Indians' home floor. What's so difficult about that? Well, on their way to a league-best 19-1 record during the regular season, the Indians won all 10 of their games at the Anowarak:wa Arena. But that statistic alone doesn't even begin to do Akwesasne's home dominance justice. Not when you consider that the Indians' average margin of victory in those games was 16.3 goals -- more than the top-scoring team in the league even averaged per contest. The Buzz, however, isn't prepared to back down. Oakville gained some confidence in a series-opening 11-10 win over the Indians Saturday and was competitive once again in Game 2, trailing 5-3 midway through the third period Sunday before eventually succumbing 10-4. Both games were played at Glen Abbey Recreation Centre. "Coming in, we knew we could beat them," Buzz forward Todd Nakasuji said after Sunday's contest. "I think (in Game 2) it was just more we weren't finishing our opportunities," continued the 20-year-old, who had seven points Saturday but was held off the scoresheet the following afternoon. "We got some good chances, we just didn't finish. If it was (Saturday), we were putting them in."
