Frank Garger, 83, was located near St. Joseph's Hospital, Wednesday, and was taken to its emergency department by ambulance. Halton police said Garger appears to be in good health and is being medically assessed. Garger, who has dementia, walked away from his residence in the Kerr and Rebecca streets area at around 2 p.m., Tuesday. Police said he suffers from several other medical conditions, which left them concerned for his safety. The Halton Regional Police Service said they would like to express their thanks to the media for their coverage of this situation and also to the numerous citizens of Oakville and the surrounding area who called in possible sightings of Garger.
