U14 field hockey team perfect defensively at May Meltdown The Halton Field Hockey Club's high performance under-14 team recently won the Field Hockey Ontario May Meltdown tournament, finishing the competition without allowing a single goal. The Heroes capped off the competition with a 3-0 win over Ottawa's Nepean Nighthawks in the final. "It's one thing to win a tournament, but to win each game so comprehensively, conceding no goals and playing some pretty good field hockey was really impressive," coach Justin Warner said. "Well done to all the girls." The tournament was held at Icelands/ Hershey Centre in Mississauga. Members of the team are Elizabeth O'Hara, Cassandra Bedford, Hannah Cavanagh, Kristen Ekels, Alannah De Angelis, Isabella Akdeniz, Bola Fayemi, Alexia Romic, Amber Syme, Sloane Wilson, Stephanie Bedford, Susie Dunn, Brianna Bowie and Nicole Hicks.
