Dvr. Walter L. Brown of Brantford formerly of Lindsay, has arrived back in Canada aboard the Mauretania, after serving for three years with the Canadian Army Overseas. Welcome Home Walter.

Description
Walter W. Brown whose home is on Lindsay Street, Fenelon Falls, Ontario, enlisted in the Canadian Army on 17 November 1942. He entered the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps with the rank of Private.
Pte Brown trained at Brampton (Ontario), Valcartier (Quebec), Hamilton (Ontario), and Kingston (Ontario).

He was sent overseas on 17 October 1943. In England he had further training at Aldershot Camp, Brighton and Stoke-on-Kent.

He transferred while in the service to the R.C.E.M.E. where he held the rank Cfn (Craftsman).

Cfn Brown arrived home on 20 July 1945 and was given his discharge on 30 January 1946.

W. Brown is welcomed back to this district where he was employed before the army service.
