Presentations were also made to Oakville MPP Kevin Flynn, Town councillors Tom Adams and Dave Gittings and Oakville Hospital Volunteer Association President Ted Nixon. The Province is spending $2 billion for construction of the hospital, while the Town has pledged at least another $130 million. The volunteer group has committed to donate $3.5 million. The $60 million being raised will buy more than 30,000 pieces of medical equipment that is not covered by provincial funding.
