Sadly our family announces the passing of Lance McAnuff, beloved husband, father, grandpa and great grandpa on May 23, 2012 in Lindsay, Ontario in his 83rd year after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband to Rosaleen for 59 years. Adored by daughter Janice, her husband Graham Loeb and their family: Kira, Jeffrey, Daniel and his partner Tarryn, Nicholas and his wife Calla, Andrew and his wife Carolyn as well as their two children Elliot and Alice; son Paul McAnuff and his daughter Cheyenne; son Colin McAnuff and his wife Laura and their sons Patrick, Connor, Ryan, and Sean; special friends Scott and L a u r i e M c L e o d a n d f a m i l y. Predeceased in 1996 by his brother Ronald McAnuff of Belfast, Northern Ireland. Lance was a legend amongst his engineering peers in the fields of blasting, ground and air vibration monitoring and explosives consulting. He f o r m e d h i s o w n c o m p a n y, V M E Associates, and in later years worked as a Specialist Consultant for Golder Associates and Explotech. Lance was born and raised in Belfast, Northern Ireland but lived most of his life in Oakville until 2007 when he and R o s a l e e n r e t i r e d t o L i n d s a y. Vi s i t a t i o n , i n c l u d i n g f o o d a n d refreshments, to be held beginning at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, May 28 at M AC K E Y F U N E R A L H O M E , 3 3 P e e l Street, Lindsay, followed by a 1:30 P.M. service within walking distance at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, 40 William Street North, Lindsay. Beloved husband of Pamela (Wilson) for 41 years. Predeceased by his brother Bernard Albert Rowledge, (killed in action in l944). He will be greatly missed by his sister Eileen (Max Winslow) and his b r o t h e r G o r d o n ( Te s s S a l m o n ) , both in England, as well as nieces and nephews and his s p e c i a l c a n i n e f r i e n d L a c e y. He had been an active volunteer in the Oakville Community; with the Oakville & Milton Humane Society, the Red Cross Society of Oakville and St. John's United Church. He was also an international speech f i n a l i s t w i t h To a s t m a s t e r s International. He has been greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by Tess, Susie, Peggy & Brandy. A service to celebrate Denis's life will be held at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall Street, Oakville on Wednesday, May 30th 2012 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. l Obituaries LOWRY, Jayson Peacefully on May 23, 2012 in his home surrounded by family and friends, Jayson passed at the age of 25 after a long hard fought battle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving parents Mike and Jeannie, sister Morgan (Justin & The Bean) and brother Colin (Meredith). Grandson of Doris and Victor, the late Tom Lowry and Mitch & Jean Lakaski. Jayson will be lovingly remembered by his many family and friends. A very special thanks to Dr. H. Pyle, Dr. Major (Juravinski), and Glenanne from Acclaim Health. HOPKINS, Eleanor Ada Born July 27, 1929, passed away in Oakville in her 83rd year, on May 22, 2012. Devoted mother of Brenda, Brett, Michael (deceased) and Harold. Loving grandmother of John, Owen and Charlotte. Beloved sister of Pat (Sheppard) and Betty (Middleton). Leaving behind many nieces and nephews who were all dearly loved.
