Van fire 17 · Friday, May 4, 2012 OAKVILLE BEAVER · www.insideHALTON.com at pilgrim wood p.s.: The Oakville Fire Department is reporting no injuries in connection to a fire, which broke out in a van parked in Pilgrim Wood Public School's parking lot, Thursday afternoon. Firefighters were called to the 1551 Pilgrims Way school at approximately 3 p.m., after flames were spotted coming from the vehicle. Deputy Fire Chief Andy Glynn said the Ford Freestar van was fully engulfed in flames when the fire trucks arrived on the scene. The fire was quickly extinguished however with Glynn reporting no damage to nearby property or other vehicles in the parking lot. Glynn said the school did not need to be evacuated. While it is not clear where the fire started within the vehicle and the cause of the fire is unknown, the fire is not considered suspicious.
