Trudeau is the widow of the late and former Prime Minister Pierre Elliot Trudeau and has written three books. She will discuss the bipolar disorder she has struggled with her entire life. Lorraine Sommerfeld is an automotive journalist who has appeared in the Beaver's sister papers such as the Toronto Star and the Hamilton Spectator. She, too, was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. Abbey Park hosting 30-Hour Famine Abbey Park High School is hosting its World Vision 30-Hour Famine from Wednesday, May 2 to Thursday, May 3. The event is part of many such initiatives across the country that see young people raise funds through pledges and awareness of world hunger. The funds raised will be donated to World Vision. With every $30 raised a child will be fed for a month. Since the formation of the event in 1992, the 30-Hour Famine has raised approximately $140 million. World Vision works in nearly 100 countries and helps approximately 100 million people each year. The Abbey Park famine will begin at 8 a.m. on May 2 and end at 3 p.m. on May 3.
