Inside Ride May 3 at WOSS The students at White Oaks Secondary School are putting on their fifth annual Inside Ride program in support of families and children dealing with cancer. The indoor cycling event will take place at the school on Thursday, May 3. All the money raised at the event through pledges will go to support children's cancer charities. Last year's event raised $38,000, while this year the students have set a goal of $45,000. People are asked to register their teams of six. There is no cost to register, however, teams must fundraise a minimum of $300. No registrations will be accepted the day of the event. There are also medals being awarded to teams with most spirit, best costume, top team mileage, top team fundraising and more. Liberal fundraiser set for May 12 People are invited to a comedy show and dinner in support of the Oakville Federal Liberal Association. The event will take place on Saturday, May 12 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1494 Wallace Rd. There will be a comedy murder mystery theatrical presentation. The fun starts at 6 p.m. People are asked to pre-register by May 2. Tickets cost $110 for members, $125 for non-members and $50 for students.
