The concerts are titled Inspired Genius. The show will feature music by some of the most influential and legendary composers of the Classical and Romantic eras. The symphony will play Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Overture to Don Giovanni, Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Concerto #3, and Johannes Brahms' Symphony #2. Joining the local orchestra will be native Italian pianist Mauro Bertoli, who now resides in Ottawa. Bertoli will be featured in Beethoven's concerto. The pianist has performed in major concert halls around the globe, including in Rome, Milan, Beijing and many others. The Keren Cytter: Based on a True Story exhibit opens Sunday (April 15). The opening reception will run from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at the Centennial Square gallery and then it will move over to the Gairloch Gardens location from 3:30-5 p.m. The artist and curator Helena Reckitt will be in attendance. Cytter's short-film work borrows from such sources as avant-garde film, reality TV, musicals and novels to shed light on today's mediated culture. The exhibit features nine films as well as drawings, books and other printed matter. The Gairloch gallery is located at 1306 Lakeshore Rd.
