Dr. Wilkinson is an obstetrician at Halton Healthcare Services (HHS) Milton District Hospital and currently holds roles as both Associate Chief of Staff and Acting Co-Chief of Surgery at the Hospital. The Credit Valley Hospital site of the merged Credit Valley and Trillium Health Care will serve as the lead organization for Maternal, Newborn, Child and Youth Clinical Integration, and is the designated regional paediatric and perinatal centre for Mississauga-Halton. By working together, the LHIN and local health service providers continue to implement strategies to improve access to quality care for local residents. Youth Volunteer Team Leader ­ Weekends Halton Healthcare Services is seeking a volunteer to assist with the coordination and supervision of our high school student volunteer program. This volunteer will liaise among frontline volunteers, nursing unit and Volunteer Services staff, and will be responsible for communicating service changes, concerns and suggestions, with respect to all parties is a key part of this role. The Youth Volunteer Team Leader will also periodically meet with the students and staff during the Saturday and Sunday afternoon shifts (4:00 p.m. ­ 6:00 p.m.). For forty years, Barbara was a respected and admired nurse educator at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH). Her many accomplishments include launching the first diabetes education program, coordinating the candy striper volunteer program, and coordinating the staff education program all here at OMTH. After her retirement in 1993, she went on to serve as the president of the OTMH Alumni Association and the vice-president of the Oakville Historical Society. She will be remembered for her many outstanding contributions to our community including her high standards for nursing care, her deep appreciation of the history of Oakville, and the conservation of its heritage, as well as her passionate support of the New Oakville Hospital campaign.
