UWO has a new CEO The United Way of Oakville (UWO) recently announced Brad Park as its new chief executive officer who will succeed retiring CEO Barbara Burton. As a 17-year veteran of United Way, Park is joining UWO from Brant United Way where he served as its executive director -- Park has also previously worked at United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries in resource develop- Brad Park ment. The search for a new CEO for UWO began in November after Burton announced her plan to retire from the role and included a wide community consultation with external stakeholders, the development of an ideal candidate profile and outline of current challenges and opportunities. "(Brad's) leaderships skills, results-proven fundraising and ability to develop donor and community support will make him an asset to United Way of Oakville," Tim Johnston, UWO board chair, said in a news release. Park will assume his new role as CEO on Feb. 21. UWO funds 33 local social service agencies that support more than 30,000 people in Oakville.
