Police said at around 7 p.m., a witness, whose car had been broken into in the same area a few days earlier, saw a man acting strangely. Halton Det.-Sgt. Anthony Odoardi said the woman was able to provide information. Police are investigating the possibility of a connection between this incident and more than 30 similar smashand-grab style thefts from parked vehicles in Oakville since August. These thefts have mostly occurred in parking lots near Coronation Park, Lakeside Park, Mademoiselle Women's Fitness & Day Spa and Power Yoga Oakville. Police said the thefts have targeted cash only and not identification, credit cards or house keys. None of the stolen funds have been recovered. Christopher Fick faces charges of mischief under $5,000, theft under $5,000, driving with more than .80 milligrams of alcohol in his system, and breach of probation.
