Lunch with McGuinty ESCAPE WINTER Residents looking to lunch with the premier of Ontario will get a chance to next month. Premier Dalton McGuinty will be speaking at an Oakville Chamber of Commerce luncheon on Monday, Feb. 6, at the Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre, 2515 Wyecroft Rd. "We are very excited about the opportunity to host the premier," Wendy Rinella, chamber chair, said in a press release. "The chamber works very hard to build strong working relationships with political leaders so we can be as effective as possible in our role as an advocate for a healthy business environment in Oakville. "These engagements are part of our strategic plan and mission to foster a healthy and sustainable economic environment in Oakville. We do everything we can to keep Oakville top of mind with political and business leaders," Rinella said. The premier's visit marks the latest in a series of speaking engagements the chamber has hosted in Oakville over the past three years with party leaders, cabinet ministers, senior government officials and prominent business leaders. The cost for tickets is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Members can reserve a table of eight for $280 and non-members for $360. All prices are subject to HST.
