Bowlathon benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters Residents are encouraged to lace up their bowling shoes for the upcoming Tim Hortons Bowl for Kids Sake, benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton (BBBSH). "Every dollar raised... will go directly towards ensuring that the children in our programs are matched with a caring, adult mentor to provide guidance and friendship," Barbara Ferrone, BBBSH executive director, said in a news release. "Participating in Tim Hortons Bowl for Kids Sake is an investment in a healthy and positive future for our children and youth." Organizers say this year's goal is set at $50,000.
