The school is located at 1160 Rebecca St. Pat MacDonald back on comedy stage A glimpse of town's Scottish heritage Oakville native Pat MacDonald has rounded up some top comedians on the GTA scene for a night of laughs at the Comedy Bar in Toronto. The MacDonald-produced Superstars of Comedy show is on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 9:30 p.m. Joining MacDonald on stage at the show will be a slew of performers. They include Alex Pavone, who can be seen on The Comedy Network, and Steph Tolev of the Lady Stache comedy duo. Dave Merheje will headline the show. He has won the Homegrown Award at the 2011 Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. Hosting duty goes to Ben Miner, a regular host on XM Radio's Laugh Attack. The bar is located at 945 Bloor St. W. To celebrate Robbie Burns Day, which is today (Wednesday), the Oakville Museum is toasting its ancestral ties to Scotland with an in-house display showcasing a selection of Chisholm-family objects. The exhibit runs until March 19. In May 1827, the Scotsman William Chisholm petitioned Lieutenant Governor Sir Peregrine Maitland for the sale of reserve lands on the Sixteen Mile Creek. At public auction in August 1827, Chisholm purchased 960 acres of these reserve lands and proceeded to found and plan the Town of Oakville. Now, people can see the Chisholm family's proud Scottish heritage in a collection of heirlooms at the museum at Erchless Estate on Navy Street.
