Fox tournament in Hamilton -- finished third, the organizers granted Halton a third at-large berth in the tournament. Loyola may well have been the team battling Holy Trinity in the Scione final. Tournament all-star Rohan Boney scored and drew a foul with 12 seconds to play against Notre Dame. He made his free throw to give the Hawks a 64-63 lead. However, with the clock ticking down, Notre Dame got the ball into Mullins' hands. He was fouled on a three-point attempt with 0.8 seconds remaining and made all three from the line to give the Irish the victory. Mullins was also instrumental in Notre Dame's 14-2 run that closed the final, draining two of his seven three-pointers. Despite the loss, Saulez was proud of how his team fought back from the early deficit. "It was great to see the guys didn't quit," the Trinity coach said. "But getting down 17, you expend a lot of energy coming back. You can't get down like that to a team this good." Good advice for any of the teams hoping to stick around for an extended playoff run.
