MUNICIP AL ELEC TION MUNICIPAL ELECTION Compliance Audit Committee The Town of Caledon is currently seeking interested residents who wish to serve on the Municipal Elections Compliance Audit Committee for the 2010-2014 term of Council. The Municipal Elections Compliance Audit Committee will review an application for a compliance audit from an elector who believes on reasonable grounds that a candidate has contravened a provision of the Municipal Elections Act relating to election campaign finances. Qualifications: a) be at least 18 years of age; b) a resident of the Town of Caledon; c) a Canadian Citizen; d) have a financial or legal background and experience; e) previous experience on a committee, task force or tribunal would be an asset. The following individuals will be excluded from membership to the committee: a) employees or officers of the Town of Caledon; b) members of Town of Caledon council; c) any persons who are candidates in the election for which the committee is established or family members or employees of same or any person connected to a candidate through an employment, contractual, business or partnership relationship; d) any person who is or intends to volunteer or seek employment to assist any candidate in the election for which the committee is established; or e) a current elected member of a municipal council, or of a provincial or federal legislature. Remuneration: $100.00 per meeting. Take me out to the ballgame The Gaudeamus Choirs of Halton Hills recently capped off an exciting choir year by singing O Canada and The Star Spangled Banner at a May Blue Jays game vs. the Oakland As at the Rogers Centre. The Choirs are currently accepting new members for the 2010-11 year. Placement interviews for the choir will be held on Saturday, June 19 and Sunday, June 20.
