Summ er 2 0 07 Deformed babies, a huge bill and the destruction of materials that can be recycled are the only things Halton will get out of the Region's proposed incinerator. This was the message delivered by speakers at a public forum, Tuesday night, dedicated to educating Halton residents about the perils of incineration. The public forum was sponsored by Oakvillegreen Conservation Association Inc. and by Protect Our Water and Environmental Resources (P.O.W.E.R.). More than 200 people from all across Halton packed the auditorium of the Galaxy 707 Banquet hall to hear the internationally renowned Dr. Paul Connett weigh in on the issue. Connett, a recently retired Professor Emeritus of Chemistry from St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, specializes in environmental chemistry and toxicology. He is also a vocal critic of incinerators. 646 4th Line at Speers Rd. 905-845-4211 sales@oakvilledodge.com careers@oakvilledodge.com See Scientist page 3 The Original Bunnies and Chicks Only at Easter $19 99 ea.
