SEAT BELTS SAVE LIVES Ontario CROWLEY, Mary Frances (nee Ryan) Passed away November 3, 2011 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Bern Crowley. Dearly missed by her children Bernardine McAdie (late husband Paul), Patrick (Donna), and Kevin (Catherine). Proud grandmother of Melissa, Matthew, Jack, Kathleen, Simon, Hélène and Elizabeth. Born in Toronto in 1924, Frances married Bern Crowley in 1954 and moved to Oakville. She was an active member of the Catholic Women's League for more than 50 years. Sincere thanks to the nurses, doctors and staff at the Grand River Hospital in Kitchener and the Columbia Forest Long Term Care Centre in Waterloo. Fran will be missed by her many friends. Family and friends were received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville 905-844-3221 on Sunday, November 6 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, 181 Sewell Drive, Oakville. Please visit the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com DIAS, Bridget Sophie Passed away peacefully on the evening of Tuesday October 4th, 2 0 1 1 a t t h e O a k v i l l e Tr a f a l g a r memorial hospital with husband Robert and son Steven by her side. Bridget is now at peace, having suffered from Sclerederma since 1985 and more recently Lung Cancer. She is pre-deceased by her father Carpoforo and survived by mother Amy and sisters Maria, Jennifer and Josephine along with their families. Bridget early retired from the Royal Bank of Canada in 2005 as a Senior Payments Officer with 38 years of dedicated service. A viewing was held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home in Oakville on October 8th, 2011. and followed by a memorial mass at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Oakville on what would have been her 66th Birthday. Burial follows at St. Jude's Cemetery in Oakville. Many thanks to the ICU staff of OTMH for there excellent care. Donations may be made to the Sclerederma Society of Canada in her memory. LIDDY, Audrey Gordon (nee Macpherson) October 25, 1921 - October 26, 2011 Audrey passed away peacefully at O a k v i l l e Tr a f a l g a r M e m o r i a l Hospital in her 91st year. She is survived by her son John (Liddy), daughter Diana (Brimo), son-in-law Tony (Brimo); grandchildren Kelly (Brimo), Chris (Liddy), Eric (Brimo), Andrew (Liddy) and her cousin Joan Cook. Originally born in Montreal and lived in New York, Florida and Toronto, but her favourite was always the Ste. Adele chalet in the Laurentians where she was an active skier, golfer and an avid curler. Curling was a big part of her life and, in 1973, played in the finals for the women's national championship. The most important part of her life was her family, all who miss her dearly. A Memorial service will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221) on Saturday, November 12, 2011 with visitation from 2:00-3:00 pm. Service to follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm. Reception will be held at the funeral home. In "lieu" of flowers donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated. Beloved husband of Barbara Leahy. Cherished father of Tanya Placzek (Daniel), Michael and Kylee. Special grandfather to James. Loving step-son to Bill Hughes. Predeceased by both of his parents Marion Hughes and Richard Leahy Sr. Loving brother to Roy Pearson (Stephanie). Treasured son in-law to Marg and John Dunn. Brother in-law to Theresa, Bev (Andre), Angie (Jack). Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Richard was a true and loyal friend to a great many people across all walks of life both young and old.
