This fundraiser will take place from noon to 3 p.m. at St. John's United Church, 262 Randall St. It will be hosted by oomama, the Oakville grandmothers in support of grandmothers in Africa, and the Power of One team at St. John's United Church. Proceeds will assist the grandmothers and orphans suffering from the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa. Following lunch, there will be an afternoon of playing bridge, euchre or a board game (you bring your own game to play). The proceeds of the luncheon will go the Grandmothers to Grandmothers campaign of the SLF to provide food, shelter, homeccare, school fees and training and support for income generating projects helping grandmothers and children in Africa.
