Books of condolence are now available for signing within the front foyer of Town Hall and at the con- stituency office of Oakville MP Terence Young. The public can access Town Hall (1225 Trafalgar Road) on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. The condolence book will be avail- able until Tuesday, Sept. 6. Mr. Layton was a tireless advocate for social justice, said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton. "His absence will be deeply felt across Canada and beyond. He will be remembered for his strength of character and his dedica- tion to public service. Flags at Town Hall have also been lowered to half-mast and will remain lowered until the end of Laytons funeral. Youngs constituency office is located at 165 Cross Ave., Suite 104. Jack Layton was a dedicated, ener- getic, and passionate person, said Young. Having these books available at my office allows people in Oakville to pay tribute to him with their own thoughts, prayers and memories. Youngs constituency office is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The office is open until 6 p.m. on Wednesdays.
