Scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., this event is billed a unique designer fundraising event by the local wom- en's service club. It will feature 23 well-known and up-and-coming designers, decorators and retailers demonstrating their tal- ents and creating tablescapes for all occasions. Admission tickets include partici- pation by those who pre-register in creative and informative workshops, highlighting designers' secrets as well as current trends for setting the per- fect table. It will take place in the South Atrium of the Oakville Town Hall, located at 1225 Trafalgar Rd. The May Court Club of Oakville is celebrating 56 years of service and has more than 200 members who fund- raise and volunteer in the local com- munity. In 2010 2011 The May Court Club of Oakville donated more than $288,000 back into the community. All proceeds raised go directly to char- ity. Tickets to the Oct. 1 event cost $20 and will be sold at the door as well as at the following retailers May Court Club of Oakville Nearly New Shop, House Warmings, Especially, Enchanted Dr, My Back Shed and Zest For Life (cash only). The first prize is worth $2,600 and includes a weekend getaway to Niagara, a Mercedes Benz for the weekend, golf for four with cart, wine tasting and dinner at Rockway Glen Estate Winery, overnight stay in a Niagara B&B, wine basket and numerous other items. Second prize worth $1,500 is for a girls day out for six, including limou- sine service to and from the Lee Jofa/ Kravet Canada Showroom in Toronto for a tour and dinner for six. Raffle tickets cost $10/each or three or $25. All proceeds from this event will benefit the numerous May Court Club of Oakville-supported charities.
