Buckleys vs Hills with Hills winning Nancy Barwell and adopted daughter Sheryl Stevens played agianst Sandra Pun and Judy Payne with Pun and Payne winn ing 62 On Friday evening John Dallison and son Paul played Ed Van Den and son Jeff with winning in Paul Dallison watches his backhand return sail over the net during the annual FatherSon MotherDaughter tournamenfat the Gordon Tennis Club on OTooIes Tyke rep team had a scoreless ball game when they faced Brampton June 11 at home In the third inning Georgetown fell apart allowing Brampton to go ahead It wasnt until the fourth inning that Georgetowns Ryan was able to touch green with a solid double but was left stranded when the inning ended The fifth inning looked promis ing with great defense from OTooIes by putting away the first three batters In the latter half of the inning Greg Mo Cullough and Brent McCIung managed to get on base but both were thrown out at second By the seventh inning Brampton crossed the plate three more times mak ing the final score 80 OTooIes travelled to Milton on June but after a tough defen sive struggle they returned home with a 31 loss In the second inn ing the bases were occupied by Trevor Rich Andrew and Brent McCIung with Rich go ing in to take an early 10 lead Milton was then able to sneak one by OTooIes in the third to tie up the game By the end of the fifth Milton scored two more 61 62 the Kimantas won John and son Paul played Jim and son Jonathon with Morwicks on the winning end Stephen Pun and son Winston played Ken and son Chris with the Puns winning In the semifinals Don Hurley and son Mike beat the Kimantas 60 The Morwicks beat the Puns The FatherSon finals were the Hurleys against the with scores of as the winning scores for Mike and Don Hurley who have won this tournament since it started fire years ago The Hurleys will go on to the Regional Playdowns which then leads to the Provin cials In the finals of the Adoptive Section Jans and Bosnian won against Lewis and Mitera in a long three set battle 75 In the consolation event White and Buchanm won against Hamilton and Elliott Estevans and Mirisawa squared off in the FatherSon consolation going three sets with going on to the next round against Van Den Hoeks The winners here unavailable at press time will play in the consolation finals against Nancy and Sheryl Stevens 107 in the con solation round Norma Maynard and Linda Osso won against San dra Pun and Judy Payne in the finals There were 48 players in this tournament who enjoyed good tennis and excellent weather with the help of lots of water
