to a stand still in short order All of a den I think most us realized lust how much of our lives are geared around electricity Candles ore OK for a little time they are not too great for doing toast do the trick for the heating tlon IT you have one but If you have on insert the ran wont work so huddling around fire becomes a must The new phone systems won t work so most of our offices were useless for half a day to say nothing of heat computers and pagers that make our day tick around I guess It all brought everything Into perspective again for indeed we sometimes need to get shaken up a bit to realize just the kind of world we live in Without the tools of our trade we just can operate I got to thinking the companies I have heard about in the States that now do a lot of heir preselllng by video tape My guess is that this has become a way of life for them and It would be lust another problem area If the hydro went off for a lengthy period of time It is very difficult to do without a system once you become accustomed to It Con you Imagine the chaos we would have If that power cut was for days not just hours It was bad enough for time we had stretching our Imagination to using other means I communication Now thai things are back to normal we will talk about this episode for days but soon will lade into the woodwork while more important things lake over our thoughts and lives However perhaps we should try to keep close to the surface of our memories for next time we hook up to another new device to mak our days go further and to keep us touch with our world hours a day Like most things In life can all be stamped out by mere flick or a switch and what is led ore the bas things In life like home and families It is so easy to forget and maybe at this time of year more than most It is time to slow down and nick the switch off a few more times to make meaningful Itmeof year It should be I hope you switch to off at least a few times this week in order to love and
