pursue Ihdr favorite sport They form own rugby club Thais Just what the charter members of the North Halt on Rugby Football Club did in lest and the move has been paying dividends ever since Some of us from around the area playing in Brampton ex Cam Maclvcr after a North Hen training session last day night We were getting tired of the drive three times a week and just decided to form our own local club A nucleus of pi avers was culled from the local area by club founders Sandy Mackenzie and George Ferguson and soon the North Hal Ion RFC was off and running From Its rather humble beginnings the dub made an immediate impact as a member of the Niagara Rugby Union The club finished the season its first year of competition as not only C division champions but also as winners of the league s coveted Niagara Cup symbolic of supremacy among the B and C category clubs We won the Cup tournament by beating division teams Mackenzie pointed out With original playing members such as Maclver his brother Ian current captain Ten and the FordKing brothers Ted and Bob leading the way North Hal ton was elevated to B division status in UBS The responded by turning in a Strong season
