cessful season for the Georgetown and District Horticultural Society Sat June at is the time for the Flower Show Strawberry Social and Bake Sale and applications will be available for Beautify Hills competition The Hor ticultural Society hopes that every resident whether It be in a house an apartment with a balcony or patio in town or In the country will fix up plant and enter the competition and by doing so will help to make Hal ton Hills a beautiful place to live in The homes and gardens entered will be Judged by a panel of Judges the week of July Aug and will be based on general appearance landscape design suitability condition of premises and garden farm properties general plan and design appearance and on of property and the use of landscape features Special areas such as rock gardens or vegetable gardens can be chosen Tor judging if wished It Is hoped that the winners will allow their homes and gardens to be viewed by the ad miring residents of Hal Ion Hills following the competition The Hills Lawn Council is providing an award and there will be gift and certificates of merit for the win Along with ail the activities of the Society members found time on a rainy
