soccer louma ment last Saturday thanks to the sponsorship from two parents of the boys on the team There were two groups of four teams and one from each group qualified for the final Georgetown was grouped with Saltfleet Kit chener and London which turned out to be hardest group In the first game for the Falcons the Georgetown squad beat a powerful Salt fleet team who looked more like Junior B a by their site Scoring first after the three minute mark the George town boys never looked back The team played good preci slon soccer using all the basic skills The score ended up 32 Everyone present it was a triumph of skill and team play that won the game Against Kitchener the Falcons registered a tie after questionable referee leg pulled the Georgetown team down when no penalties were called in the penalty area The third game was a must situation for the boys as they needed a win or a tie against London City Both teams were now showing wear after two games In the morning But both gave all they had and played good competitive soccer Georgetown scored in the lost few minutes to come out winners which allowed them to advance to the finals It was a tremen dous physical effort on a want day
