The show, titled Just a Moment, features the work of a young Oshawa artist who paints with pig- ment or charcoal using only his finger. Two sessions of the 2011 Guitar Workshop Plus program took place from mid to the end of July at Appleby College. Their instructors included founding member of Canadian rock band Triumph, Rik Emmett; guitarist Steve Val; six-time Grammy Award-nominee Mike Stern; the late Michael Jacksons lead guitarist during his This Is It con- cert series, Orianthi; bassist Dave LaRue; Austin blues-rocker David Grissom, drummer Vito Rezza and many more. The school, offering one-week long programs in Oakville and Vancouver each summer, is designed for aspiring musicians of all ages. The Vancouver session runs next week.
