Museum Notes Thousands of Artifacts In FiveBuilding Complex HERALD THURSDAY APR 1973 J by JUDITH A perfect family outing during the Easter holiday would be a visit to the Ha ton County Museum Kelso Park Milton The Museum displays thousands of artifacts housed in a fivebuilding complex It in a minute drive from Georgetown via the Line to Sleelcs Avenue then following the signs to the Kelso Con serve lion Area The six acre Museum site is portion of the acre farm purchased by Scottish Im migrant Adam Alexander in 1636 The farm remained in the Alexander family for years until It was sold to the Hal ton Region Conservation Authority in 1961 An area including the barn pigpen blacksmith shop and house was leased for development by the Hoi ton County Museum Association A member of the Museum summer staff is a great great great great grand nephew of Adam Alexander ARTIFACTS The main Museum building a huge bam built in the IBM s houses the domestic fur of ibe County a early settlers
