THE GEORGETOWN HERALD APRIL Euchre Devotee Never Missed Club Card Session 41 Years The Town Line Euchre Club held their final party of the season at the home of Mr and Mrs Wllmer Mason This club started la the year 1930 and have just completed their year Mrs Garnet Hamilton is one of the members who has never missed a year since the club was formed The North Trafalgar Euchre dub held their weekly euchre party on Saturday night April 17 at the North Trafalgar Com munity Centre There were nine tables of euchre In play with the prizes being awarded to Ibo following winners Mrs Marie Murray Mrs Martha Richard- son Mrs Olive Nix Harold Smellie and Ernest Martin The lucky draws were won by Mrs Nix and Charlie Brown The next euchre will be held on Saturday night April 24 I Mrs Boy of Sutton visited Inst week with Mrs Gar net Hamilton and Mr and Mrs John Hamilton and family of the Winston Churchill Blvd Mrs had Just returned recently from a trip to South America Mr and Mrs Henry Arnold and Mr and Mrs Art Plant were dinner guests on Friday evening of Mr and Mrs Ron ald Plant and family on the occasion of Mrs Arnolds birth- The April meeting the St Stephens Anglican Church Guild Women was held at the borne of Mrs Edgar on Tuesday night April 13 with members and two visitors present The meeting was open by the president Mrs Craig The price wa3 set for the Master Feeds banquet which will be a plate Mrs Craig will convene the banquet on April and Mrs Geoffrey Drew Brook will con the second banquet on April A donation of was donated for the Cancer Society and will also be seat to Miss Mary Tborton of Ethi opia The meeting closed with prayer The program was in charge of Margaret and Karen McDonald who showed bo mo beautiful slides of their trip to Great Britain where they also enjoyed bus tour Following the entertainment a lunch was served by the host ess The next meeting will be held on May 11 at the home of Mrs Arthur Plant when an auction sale of plants will be Birthday greetings arc ex tended to Joanne McMillan who will celebrate her on Monday April Mr and Mrs Lloyd Marshall and son Bill have returned home from their vacation They spent part of their vacation at Springs Florida where they visited with Mr and Mrs Roy Break the remainder of their 1 vacation was spent In Californ ia Members of the North Traf algar Community Cub met at the home of Mrs Martin on Wednesday night April l The roll call was answered by I 17 members and one visitor The meeting was opened with singing of the Club Ode A short discussion was held on the plans for the anniver sary of the club Mrs Doug introduced the guest speaker Ruth who gave a very interesting talk and dem onstration on the making of copper jewellery and enamelled rings and broaches pendants which are baked in an electric kiln Several of the ladles made some rings pins and pendants Mrs extended a vote of thanks to Ruth for the Inter esting demonstration A deli cious lunch was served by the hostess which Included a fruit sated and German bread and coffee The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs Joe Summit on May An auction sale v ill be held with Mrs Al ton Ross and Mrs John Han nah in charge of the sole Birthday greetings are exten ded to Mrs Hoy Break who will celebrate her birthday on Tuesday April 20 Annette Brown on April 21 and to Karen on Monday April The Eden United Church Wo- men
