very divisive Mayor Rues Miller said last week he is really upset over Burlington city narrowly approved resolution outlining he citys hopes of taking its business development duties away from the Region and handling them internally Of chief concern Is Burlingtons desire to haveihe Region return the citys portion of a business levy routinely con Iribulcd by the four area municipalities to finance Heltons efforts to attract new In dustry The resolution was Burlington response lo Heltons pro posed delegation bylaw for business development which incorporates new directions from the province Recent Provincial legislation allows the area municipalities to handle their own business development affairs as long as there Is no duplication of efforts at the Regional level Holton Hills
