and the home economist Mrs Donald Smith said there were so many useful topics in Home Economics and Health for the average housewife of today whether it be price wars fabrics or pollution Mrs Donald reported for the music festival stating that the name was now the North Association for the Performing and Creative Arts Eleven of the branches had supported it through donations Mrs Spencer Wilson reported progress of the Federation of Agriculture and urged people to join it for the advantages it provides Halton history Mrs Marchington assistant curator extended thanks to Ben Case for compiling the history of Count which appears in instalments in the Acton Free Press She asked that all century farms be recognized and and anniversaries reports be sent to the curator I is the only rural programs for 197071 were judged by Mrs Scott and the winners were Nelson and Dublin Prizes were presented by Mrs Vtlmn who had sponsored the competition anniversary A delicious cold lunch was served by the Acton church ladies After the meal a special anniversary ceremony was held Mrs rend thehlstory of the organization for the Womens Institute and read a list of the names of the presidents and Pennies for Friendship and giving a highlight of its branch history Home economist Mrs D Bannister reported for stat ing tbcrewere 16 clubs during the with some 160 completing the course New officers
