The Acton Free Press Wednesday Apr I 7 1971 OUR READERS WRITE Get job done without mud slinging He throws his weight around at times and is Box Guelph most rude person to deal with I say get down and do the job efficiently without all this mud slinging want this kind of Dear Sir garbage on any board council or committee Having read the report on the county council budget meeting might I offer my Yours truly comments on the Dress report Andrew Welch Firstly is it not in order for anybody to question the right of council to spend local tax money Mr Gillies to be admired for interest in the particular matter but it is apparent that Reeve Jim was hut at being questioned on the proposed expenditures What kind of a man is it that gets so mad lets his glib tongue flow in a personal manner to a man who has every right to question proposed expenditures I would remind turn too that you don t get kicked out of anywhere when you are rejected at the polls You simply have the electorate replace you with somebody else and there is no suggestion of being kicked out It would appear Reeve is mixing political feelings with council business Politics should not into the running of the county Perhaps he should be kicked out for it would appear that he has set himself up as a little Hitler The public will not tolerate his verbal abuse or reluctance to discuss expenditures with any of the electorate Let insults and epithets at any further council meetings Just get down and do the business efficiently instead of righting personal vendettas in the chamber I note too that bastion of sarcasm Reeve Rick Morrow had to poke his nose In Who uses the Bruce Trail survey endeavors to find out Dear Sir The Toronto Bruce Trail Club looks after the section of the Bruce Trail that passes
