council july 27 by recreation coordinator jim hill the swimming program conducted by donna skinner at the stouffville pool has an enrolment of about 350 pool manager peter san derson expects that august enrolments will bring this level up to last years figure there has also been a decrease in the number of swimming students at slaters pool while the first twoweek session had 150 participants enrolment is down in the second session the most dramatic drop is in the playground program which has about 60 children enrolled it was expected to be more popular than last year when it attracted 135 fastball popular stouffville baseball has proved an exception to the generally low- enrolment in recreation programs reported this summer while participation in the playground and swimming programs has dropped baseball has attracted 250 youngsters to 17 teams in the area according to recreation co ordinator jim hill most of the teams are overcrowded plans are now being made to add a tyke division to the present peewee and squirt programs new teams may also be formed in addition jim is working on the for mation of a whit- churchstouffville baseball association so that all teams in the
