years in cedar grove back to the days when cam pers not cottagers peopled woodland park after com muting for many years from early summer to late fall mr robb left toronto and built his retirement home iji cedar grove sharing his talents with others it became almost traditional for cedar grove brides to receive one of his paintings and young ministers on com pletion of their term at zion frequently took with them one of mr robbs sketches of the church at zion he conducted the choir for a period of time and often sang solos on special occasions accompanied by mrs robb at the organ as choir master and organist this was a well known team in toronto for a long time mr robb was a cheerful man with a scottish twinkle in his eye and a happy ap proach to life for this as well as his generous con tributions he will be remembered we extend sympathy to mrs robb and family the celebration of cedar grove com munity clubs 25th anniversary is planned as an occasion to be enjoyed not only by present cedar grovers but by everyone who ever was a resident here so a very warm in vitation is extended to all who feel an af fection for cedar grove the bar bq will be lighted and a chef available to cook your steaks ham burgers or whatever you choose to bring a cold buffet will comprise your shared specialties birthday- cake and ice cream will be provided along with beverages you committee chairman gordon ratcliff he pointed out that the depart ment is presently renting two similar trucks from its em ployees we actually need to buy three trucks said ratcliff but were cutting that the two councils could submit a brief to the depart ment of mines when the new bill is given first reading a resolution was passed stating the councils position on this new act the municipalities will urge that the bill contain provisions to allow local govern ment control over rehabilitation and extensions of existing pits and quarries copies of the resolution will be sent to the minister of
