This annual dinner dance and auction event for the local womens shelter will feature food, drinks and entertainment to go along the Willy Wonka-like theme. It will be held at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre, located at Bronte and Wyecroft roads, in support of the only crisis shelter service provided for women and their dependent children in Halton. This event will raise much-needed funds to provide services to the women and children who come to the doors or call the crisis line for help. Last year, 800 women and more than 1,000 children accessed the residential and transitional services. Special features include a Rose Draw, where the winner receives a beautiful custom designed diamond necklace and a Diamond Draw that will have one lucky individual win a diamond. Tickets cost $150 each and include a wine reception, a sit-down dinner, open bar, silent and live auctions, entertainment and dancing. To purchase tickets please contact Carm Bozzo at 905-332-1200 extension 222, or email cbozzo@haltonwomensplace.com Chocolate Affair benefits womens shelter Feb. 26 Tim Hortons invite guests of all ages and abilities to celebrate the magic of the holiday season with free holiday skating.
