From 5 p.m. until midnight, all the res- idents of the community will light lumi- nary candles on the street, during the 17th year of the annual tradition. Oakville residents are invited to drive through the community to enjoy the glow of the lights of the community. Upon departure of the community, people are asked to make a donation at the gates into the kettles. They money will go to the Salvation Army. Neighbourhood residents donate their time to supervise the kettles. A year ago, the event raised $4,300. This years event will also be launched with a 20-minute community carol sing- along at the front gates at 5:30 p.m. Fairway Hills Boulevard is accessible from Dorval Dr., just south of Upper Middle Rd.
