BLACKETT, Thomas -- With sorrow the family announces the death of Thomas Blackett on Friday, April 9, 1999 in his 90th year, at the Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital with his family at his side. Dearly beloved husband of Mildred Ferguson. Dear father of Barbara Blackett and her husband Dennis Zoppa of Port Coquitlam, B.C. and Patricia and her husband Brian O'Connor of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Kristofer and Daren Zoppa and Aiden O'Connor. Also survived by his sisters Muriel Armitage, Ethel Evans and Mary Garrett and his Ray. Predeceased by his brothers Joe, Lloyd and Bev. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Tom was a longtime employee of C.I.L. Paints Division, Member of Royal Regiment of Canada (B67353) Friends were received at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ontario, on Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral and commital service was held at the Hillcrest United Church, Hornby, Ontario on Tuesday, April 13 at 2 p.m. Cremation.
