Children staying at the OTMH this year will get an unexpected surprise thanks to the generosity of the local business community. Now in its ninth year, the Bears that Care cam- paign, organized by The Oakville Beaver together with local businesses sponsorship, will be providing a comforting bear to children staying in the pediatric ward at the OTMH. Even during a time where many businesses con- tinue to experience economic strain, they continue to open up their wallets to help out a good cause. It is always the little things that make the most dif- ference and stand out for a child in need. Knowing that a single teddy bear can bring a smile to a sick childs face is reason enough to participate in this program. A special thanks goes out to all the local busi- nesses that supported this worthwhile cause this year.
