At his residence in Woodstock on Thursday, January 6, 2011. Allan Davis Ball in his 83rd year, born January 1, 1929, formerly of Embro. Beloved husband of Barbara Ball (nee Weaver) for almost 60 years. Dear father of David (Kim) Ball of Ingersoll, Kevin (Elaine) Ball of Port Elgin, Karen (Doug) Gee of Woodstock, Bob (Carol) Ball of Embro and Myrna (Bill) Powell of Woodstock. Loved grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Gerald (Margaret) Ball of Embro, Lloyd (Dorothy) Ball of Ingersoll and Watson (Margaret) Ball of Salford. Brother-in-law of Priscilla (Pat) Johnson of Tavistock and Marie Weaver of Ingersoll. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Florence Ball, sister Helen Ulch, brothers and sisters-in-law Harold Ulch, Robert Weaver, Betty and Angus Lunn, Bill and Margaret Weaver, Fraser Lupton, and Jerry Johnson. Friends may call at the Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004) on Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm where the funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday at 11:00 am with Rev.
