Or ig inal ly t ra ined as a nurse, she continued her service in the medical community by pursuing a d e g r e e i n S o c i a l W o r k , a n d dedicated over 20 years leading up to her re t i rement to the pro fess ion a t Oakvi l le Trafalgar Memorial Hospital . She remained actively engaged in her commun i t y a s a member o f CFUW and Bronte Harbour Yacht Club. She t rave l led extensive ly f rom Alaska to C h i n a , t o t h e G a l a p a g o s a n d t h e Amazon, and enjoyed a host of other in te res ts rang ing f rom b i rd ing and swimming to Tai-Chi. Maureen will be deep ly missed and remembered for her compassion, energy, dedicat ion, sense of humour and zest for life.
