In fact, it believes every family should make learning CPR a part of its stay healthy plan. In honour of CPR month, St. John Ambulance is offering a free one-hour CPR workshop intended to cover some of the basics of CPR. The Oakville workshop will be held Wednesday, Nov. 17 from 7-8 p.m. at 407 Speers Rd. W., Unit #202. St. John Ambulance is a regis- tered charity and while the forum is free, donations would be appreciat- ed. This is a workshop and not a cer- tification course. Those interested in attending must reserve a spot ahead of time by registering at 905-469-9325. For 125 years, St. John Ambulance has been training more than 140,000 Ontarians annually in first aid and other health care relat- ed courses and remains dedicated to saving lives at work, home and play. With more than 4,000 volunteers contributing more than half a mil- lion hours of community service a year, St. John Ambulance is an inte- gral part of the community offering such programs as: medical first response, disaster response, health and safety related youth programs and therapy dog services. As a charitable, non-denomina- tional, humanitarian organiza- tion, proceeds from St. John Ambulances first aid training and first aid product sales directly sup- port these vital community servic- es programs.
