The information session will take place tomorrow (Thursday) at the Stewarttown Public School, 13068 15 Sideroad, Georgetown. Residents are invited to drop in anytime between 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Residents attending the infor- mation sessions can: Talk to public health inspec- tors about well water quality concerns. Have well water tested for n i t r a t e s . The pres- ence of n i t r a t e s could indi- cate contam- i n a t i o n . Bring one cup of water in a ster- ilized jar. Drop off a water sample to be sent for bacteria testing. Call us or visit www.halton.ca/health to find out where to get an approved water sample bottle. (Water samples to be submitted for bacteria testing must be collected in approved water sample bottles.) Pick up approved water sample bottles for future bacteria testing. Learn about water treatment systems such as ultra violet, reverse osmosis and chlorination from water treatment companies. Talk to staff from Halton Regions Planning and Public Works Department to discuss water conservation principles. Observe well drilling equip- ment and learn about well drilling from professionals from the Ontario Ground Water Association.
