Visit www.friendsoft- helibrary.ca for more details. There are two book sales (spring and fall) organized by the Friends of the Oakville Public Library to raise funds to support specific library programs and services in our branches. We thank the Friends of the Oakville Public Library for their continued support and the generous members of the community who kindly donate all the gently used books for these book sales. This year alone, Friends of the Oakville Public Library provided more than $33,000 to support many library programs including the hugely successful TD Summer Reading Program, helping chil- dren to retain their reading levels through- out the summer months. The upcoming launch of our eReaders would happen without the Friends support, bringing the digital book age to life at OPL. Friends also support Battle of the books for school age children, annual Write2Xpress Competition for teens, Every Child Ready to Read program and other workshops throughout the year.
