My life is a wonderful adventure and I have no concerns about being able to fill my time in a productive way, she said Tuesday morning, the day after the election. Mulvale said she enjoys public life, but she also enjoys private life as well and already has plans for it. Im going to spend some immediate time with my oldest son and his wife. Its not been a secret, but hes had some health chal- lenges, she said. Mulvale said she also has some fellowship and travel plans. She will also consider some consulting work, which she has done in the past, and some mentoring. She will contin- ue volunteering locally and for interna- tional causes. Unofficial town results show that Burton received 25,107 votes and Mulvale followed with 20,269, followed by John McLaughlin and Raymond Ray. I couldnt be more proud or more grate- ful of the team, she said. Over 20,000 peo- ple bought into our platform and my leader- ship. They, and obviously the people who voted for John McLaughlin and many of the other challengers, if you add all those votes up, a great deal of people are concerned about the fiscal health of this community. She added, The incoming council has an opportunity to reflect and reassure people and hopefully they will embrace the mes- sage that there should be a little more cau- tion of how theyre spending and how theyre increasing the Town of Oakville- share of the property tax bill and how much debt theyre incurring.
